For the Stitching Show. Can't remember what they call it now. Used to be the Madeira show. It's always different than the Ally Pally show and there are more designers there. I'm looking forward to seeing Sheila Paine there this year.

More later.

On Line In London

Seems as if I had to leave town to get a few minutes to blog. I'm having a good research trip. Found a copy of Draud's 1611 bibliography at the British Library with the first known listing of modelbuchen. Weather good but have a miserable cold to contend with.

We were at the British Museum yesterday. They've put a few more textiles out. Still rather under-represented in my opinion.

Ari Davidow: Hebrew Typesetter Extraordinaire

Not embroidery but wonderful use of typography in design and inspiration for embroidery. Alphabets have interested needleworkers for centuries and this site gives links and examples to get the thought processes going and the fingers itching for a needle.
