Rip VanStitcher
What does a stitcher/crafter messer-about in pots of paints do when she wakes from an evil spell that has kept her prisoner for nearly two years?
She goes shopping at Hobby Lobby!!!!
I know I sometimes bewail the scrapbook craze that has taken over our crafting world. Of course needlework should come first in anyone's crafting agenda --- BUT wow what nice new things this market has enticed manufacturers to develop. AND how many of them are going to be fun to play with in mixed media projects.
So what did I buy? Some very mundane things - interfacing to back blackwork stitching; grosgrain ribbon to run through my printer; watercolor paper; acryllic paints to replace some tubes that got tossed in the move to TN as well as some new brushes which were on sale complete with roll up carrying case.
AND fun stuff -- tiny, tiny tiny pastel stars (solid and punched out); a bottle of something called Sparkly Chunky Butterfly Garden Glitter Glue; a jar of glass beads texture gel which I love to play with; a little bag of mixed shapes of black and white beads; some fun stickers for someone's Christmas stocking and some wacky printed felt to use in making some needlebooks for pressies. There are such great printed and textured felts in the store now. Not your old humdrum thick cumbersome primary colors sort of offerings.
Oh dear, I may get into an awful lot of trouble now that I can walk again....
